The locking strap is for the older version of the Gear Daisy Chain that uses the back pack as a counter weight to keep it tight. This strap allow you to easly attach to one end of the daisy chain with a girth hitch and the other end to one of the loops on the daisy chain with a adjustable gated clip which can be tighten.
